Sharing and publishing
How to publish the dashboards and apps you build and share them with your team
Once you publish a dashboard, you can share it with your team by URL. You can choose who can view it for each project, and after publishing you can also see how it's being viewed.
Sharing is set up in the share dialog, which opens from Share at the top right of the project. The share dialog has the following tabs.
| Tab | Contents |
|---|---|
| Members | Access settings, publishing the app, and inviting project members |
| Template | Register this project as an organization template. → Templates |
| Analytics & logs | Appears after publishing. Shows page views and the number of users |
Publish the app
Open the share dialog
Click Share at the top right of the project.
Publish
In the Members tab, click Publish under "Publish app". While publishing, the button changes to "Publishing" and shows the progress. Publishing usually finishes in about a minute.

Share the URL
When publishing finishes, the share dialog shows the published URL (in a format like https://xxxx.squadbase.app). Use the buttons next to the URL to copy the link or open it in a new tab.

If you edit the dashboard after publishing, click Publish update to apply your changes. While there are no changes, the button reads Latest version published and can't be clicked.
To stop publishing, click Stop publishing under "Publish app".
Choose who can view it
Under "Access settings" in the Members tab, choose who can view the project. The setting takes effect immediately.
| Access setting | Who can view |
|---|---|
| Invited members only (default) | Only invited members |
| Anyone with the link | Everyone who knows the URL |
With Anyone with the link, everyone who knows the URL can access the project. Don't use it for dashboards that handle confidential data.
Invite members
Click Invite under "Project members" and choose the members you want to invite.
Members of the same space can access every project in the space without being invited. They're listed under "Space members" in the share dialog.
Access levels
A member's access level is determined by their role in the organization (Admin, Creator, or Viewer).
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Deploy and view (shown as "Deploy & View" in the share dialog) |
| Creator | Deploy and view ("Deploy & View") |
| Viewer | View only ("View Only") |
For more about roles, see Members and roles.
See how it's being viewed
After publishing, an Analytics & logs tab is added to the share dialog, where you can see page views and the number of users. Use "View logs" and "View analytics" for more detail.
