Understand how AI credits work in Squadbase
Squadbase AI features run on AI Credits.
AI Credits are consumed when you send messages to AI, generate apps, and perform other AI-powered actions.
How AI Credits Work
Squadbase AI Credits do not reset at the start of each month. Instead, they recover automatically over time.
- Using AI decreases your Credits
- Credits recover gradually over time
- There is a maximum cap on how many Credits can be stored
This means you don't need to wait until the next month after running out — Credits will become available again after a certain period.
What Determines Usage
AI Credit consumption is primarily determined by two factors:
- Number of Admins / Creators in your organization — More members means a higher cap and faster recovery
- AI model used — Each model requires a different number of Credits. Lightweight models consume fewer; high-performance models consume more
Differences by Plan
The core mechanics of AI Credits are the same across all plans. Available capacity is managed on a usage basis, and the amount available and recovery rate vary by plan.

Actual usage varies across all plans depending on your organization's activity and the models used.
AI Credits availability is managed on a usage basis, not as a fixed number of messages.
Long operations or high-performance models may consume more AI Credits. Additionally, since different models require different amounts of Credits, the models available to you may differ depending on your remaining balance.
Purchasing Additional Credits
Even after reaching your limit, you can purchase additional credits to continue using AI features without waiting for recovery.

Purchased credits are managed separately from the credits included in your plan. You can check your remaining purchased credits from Menu > Billing.
