What are AI Credits?
AI Credits power AI-powered features in Squadbase, such as AI-assisted code generation and intelligent data analysis. Pro and Enterprise plan users can purchase additional credits beyond their monthly allocation.
Available Plans: Only Pro and Enterprise plan organizations can purchase additional AI Credits. Free plan users cannot purchase additional credits.
Credit Expiration and Rollover
No Expiration: Purchased AI Credits never expire. Once purchased, credits remain in your account until used—regardless of billing cycles.
Unlike monthly seat allocations that reset each billing period, purchased credits (both manual and auto-recharge) are permanent until consumed. This means you can purchase credits in bulk and use them over time without worrying about them expiring.
Credit Consumption Priority
When using AI features, credits are consumed in the following order:
- Seat Allocation (Monthly) — Free credits included with your plan that reset each billing cycle (150 credits per creator seat)
- Manually Purchased Credits — Credits you purchased directly through the Credits modal
- Auto-Recharged Credits — Credits purchased automatically via auto-recharge settings
This priority order ensures that your included monthly allocation is used first, followed by purchased credits in the order they were acquired.
Who Can Purchase Credits?
Only organization administrators (Admin role) can purchase credits and configure auto-recharge settings. Creators and Viewers cannot access purchase features.

Available Credit Packs
Choose from three pack sizes with bulk purchase discounts:

How to Purchase Credits
Open Credits Modal
Open the Credits modal from the dashboard.
Select Credit Pack
Choose your desired pack size (100, 500, or 1,000 credits).
Confirm and Complete Payment
Review the purchase details in the confirmation dialog and complete payment. Credits are added to your account immediately.
Auto-Recharge
Never run out of credits with automatic purchases when your balance runs low.
How It Works
Auto-recharge monitors your credit balance and automatically purchases credits when it drops below your configured threshold.
Configuration Options
- Enable/Disable: Toggle auto-recharge on or off
- Pack Size: Choose which pack to purchase automatically (100, 500, or 1,000 credits)
- Trigger Threshold: Set when to trigger auto-purchase (1-50% of your balance)

Open Credits Modal
Open the Credits modal from the dashboard.
Configure Options
Set your preferred pack size and trigger threshold (1-50%).
Enable Auto-Recharge
Toggle the switch to enable automatic purchases.
Safety Features: Auto-recharge includes duplicate prevention (5-minute cooldown) and error handling to prevent multiple simultaneous purchases.
Purchase History
View all your credit purchases in one place from the Billing page:
- Purchase Type: Manual or Auto-recharge
- Status: Success or Failed
- Purchase Date: When the purchase was made
- Error Information: Details if a purchase failed

For Occasional Users:
- Purchase 100 credit packs as needed
- Monitor usage and purchase manually when credits run low
For Regular Users:
- Purchase 500 credit packs for better value (7% discount)
- Enable auto-recharge with a 20-30% threshold
For Heavy Users:
- Purchase 1,000 credit packs for maximum savings (17% discount)
- Enable auto-recharge with a 40-50% threshold for continuous operation
